DAVIDSON, N.C. – The UNCG Women's Tennis team fell to the Davidson Wildcats 4-0, on Wednesday afternoon at the Knobloch Tennis Center. The Spartans fall to 1-3 on the season, while the Wildcats improve to 4-2.
In singles action, UNCG fell in the No. 1 – No. 4 matches. The No. 5 and No. 6 matches went unfinished. The pair of Soumeya Anane (Coventry, Great Britain/Tile Hill Wood School) and Amy Ellis (Cheshire, Great Britain/Newcastle Under Lyme School) defeated Elaina Cummer and Sarah Stein, 6-4 for the lone victory of the afternoon. Blaine Boaz (Dunwoody, Ga./Saint Pius X) and Sarah Swiderski (Wesley Chapel, Fla/Saddlebrook Prep) fell at No. 2 doubles, 6-1 while the match of Jamie Grinberg (Chapel Hill, N.C./East Chapel Hill) and Masey DeMoss (Mayodan, N.C./McMichael) suffered a narrow, 7-6 defeat.
