GREENSBORO, N.C. – On Saturday, UNCG takes to Lynne Agee court at Fleming Gymnasium for the final time in 2016-17, taking on the Bucs of ETSU at 4:00 p.m.
The game marks Senior Day for the Spartans, with Shanese Harris (Chesapeake, Va.Western Branch), Gena Penick (Amherst, Va./Louisburg College), Jade Scaife (Fort Washington, Md./Archbishop Spalding), Indian Timpton (Charlotte, N.C./Myers Park), Bailey Williams (Harrisonburg, Va./Spotswood) and Mariah Wilson (Atlanta, Ga./North Atlanta) play in their final home game in Blue and Gold.
Earlier in the season, ETSU upended the Spartans 60-52 in Johnson City, Tennessee. Harris paced UNCG with 13 points, while Nadine Soliman (Cairo, Egypt/Mokattam Language School) added 10 points and six rebounds.
UNCG is in the midst of a five-game home Southern Conference winning streak after defeating Chattanooga 75-72 on Thursday. The streak is the longest for the Spartans since the 2005-06 season.
ETSU is the SoCon's second highest scoring team, pouring in 65.3 points per game, including 18.9 from Tianna Tarter, the conference's leading scorer. Shamauria Bridges ranks fifth in the league with 15.4 PPG.
On the other hand, the Bucs allow the second most points in the SoCon at 64.0, allowing opponents to make 40.3-percent of their attempts.
ETSU consistently takes care of the ball, ranking second in the league in turnover margin with 1.35 more takeaways and turnovers per game.
In addition to leading the conference in scoring, Tarter ranks second in assists (4.8), second in steals (2.2), sixth in rebounds (6.7) and fifth in field goal percentage (44.7-percent).
