GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG softball placed three players on Google Cloud Academic All-District Team selected by CoSIDA as announced Friday morning. Alicia Bazonski, Jasmine Palmer and Jordan Gontram have each received Academic All-District honors for their performance on the field and in the classroom this season.

These three student-athletes have led UNCG softball to a 44-11 overall record, back-to-back Southern Conference Regular Season Championships and are currently the top overall seed in the SoCon Tournament being played in Greensboro this weekend. The three selections are the most from any one team in District III, with just one other university having multiple members named to the 11-member All-District team.

Bazonski has earned a 3.51 GPA and is a public health education major with a concentration in community health education. She's was named first team All-SoCon for her performance this season. She's appeared in 32 games with 29 starts to earn an 18-5 record. She leads the team with 161 innings pitched and has struck out 104 hitters and holds opponents to a .233 average while earning a 1.91 ERA.

Palmer is in her second year at UNCG and has been a staple in the lineup since her arrival. She's earned a 4.00 GPA while majoring in communication studies. Palmer was named first team All-SoCon for her performance last year and this is her second postseason All-SoCon honor. The junior second baseman is second on the team with a .325 average with five home runs and is tied for the team-lead with 47 runs scored.

Gontram has earned a 4.00 GPA as a business administration major. This season, Gontram has hit at a .267 average in 49 games in the outfield. Gontram is second on the team with 13 home runs and has driven in 38 runs for the Spartans. She's scored 33 runs and has earned a .603 slugging percentage.
