Terrance Stewart have announced the addition of Jake Lewis, William Mitchell, Will Guidry and Liam Percy to the 2024-25 freshman class.
"We are very excited to have all these young men officially join the team", said Stewart. "Jake, William, Will and Liam are each the definition of a student-athlete in every way. These gentlemen will continue to build and grow the program. It will be very exciting to see what they will do."
Lewis will come to Greensboro from Cary, N.C., after graduating from Green Hope High School in the spring of 2024. During his high school career, he earned First Team All-Conference in 2022 and 2023. In addition, he has accumulated a 74 average score per round during his high school playing career.
Just like Lewis, Mitchell will also graduate from Green Hope High School in the spring. In addition, he also earned First Team-All Conference mentions for two years, while also earning the Farm Bureau Sportsmanship award. Lewis has an average score of 78 per round.
Guidry will head to Greensboro upon graduation from J.H. Rose High School in Winterville, N.C., this spring. He has led the Rampants as a starter in men's golf the past fours and posted an undefeated conference record in three of those years. The squad finished third in the state in 2021, named NCHSAA 3A State Champions in 2022, Regional Champions in 2023, and NCISAA 1A State Champions in 2019. Guidry was named All-Conference four times, State Champion twice, and NCISAA All-State once.
Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Percy will graduate high school from Wakefield High School in Raleigh, N.C., this spring. As a Wolverine, he and his teamed claimed the conference title last season, while he was named the Conference Player of the Year. Percy plans to major in accounting with a minor in sports psychology at UNCG.
These four incoming Spartans anticipate the start of the 2024-25 men's golf season.
