CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's track team competed in the two-day Charlotte Invitational on Friday and Saturday for the program's final regular season meet of the season.
Four of the seven Spartans posted personal best marks at the meet.
Samuel Barnard began UNCG's weekend with a personal best time of 1:51.93 in the 800-meter run on Friday evening. He placed 13th out of 20 competitors in the event. Andrew Hamilton clocked in a time of 1:53.10, taking home 15th place overall.
Ethan Long finished 20th out of 26 competitors in the 5000-meter invitational section, clocking in a time of 14:48.10.
All three Spartans in the 1500-meter open section on Saturday clocked in personal best times. Khalid Abdullahi led the way with a fifth place finish out of 27, running a time of 3:56.68. Lane Prochaska was the next Blue & Gold in the final results, placing seventh with a time of 3:57.33. Colin Keck took home seventh with a time of 3:58.62.
Luke Ward competed in the 5000-meter open section and finished fourth out of nine competitors with a time of 15:41.64.

The Spartans are set to begin postseason competition with the 2024 Southern Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The Championships will take place in Birmingham, Alabama at the Shauna Yelton Field, hosted by Samford, from May 6-7.
