2023 (Mount Olive)
Took the field in 20 games and made seven starts for Mount Olive…Owned a .261 (6-for-23) batting average with a .565 slugging percentage and .379 on-base percentage…Clubbed two home runs and a double while putting up seven RBI and nine runs scored…Helped the Trojans claim the Conference Carolinas Championship to advance to the NCAA DII Southeast Regional in Tigerville, South Carolina.

Saw action in 26 games and made 19 starts…Batted .185 (12-for-65) with two doubles, a home run and 10 RBI…Drew 12 walks throughout the season and stole five bases…Appeared in the NCAA DII Super Regionals.

Was a three-sport athlete in baseball (2016-19), basketball (2016-18) and cross country (2016-17) during high school while attending Wayne Country Day School from 2016-19…Was a career .412 batter in high school with 103 hits, 20 doubles, eight triples, nine home runs and 95 RBI…Named the CPIC Player of the Year…Participated in the 2018 Body Armour State Games…Named NCISAA All-State for baseball in 2017…Was named an all-conference member all four seasons at the high school level…Was named basketball team’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2018.

Son of John and Cassie Kermode…Born on May 25, 2001, in Roswell, New Mexico…Has two siblings, Keagan and Keytah…Grandfather, Jerry McDonald, played for the Boston Patriots of the American Football League…Chose to transfer to UNCG with the ambition of starting a nonprofit that that focuses on empowering and covering costs of young athletes who are financially unable to attend college baseball camps and play in travel sports…Earned an exercise science bachelor’s degree in 2023 and master’s in business administration in 2024…Working on obtaining second master’s in nonprofit management at UNCG…Hobbies include traveling, working on cars, fishing, gaming and spending time with family and friends.
