2007-08: Was 17-9 on the season with records of 3-2 in Southern Conferemce matches, 8-5 in dual matches and 9-4 in tournaments... totaled 14 decisions and one major decision wins... Won five straight matches from Jan. 22-Feb. 5, having four decisions and one major decision... finished third in ath 149 lbs. weightclass at the North Carolina State Open, going 4-1 and picking up decision wins over Maryland’s Kyle John (5-4 and 7-4) and Steve Fehnel (3-2) and Appalachian State’s Garrett Minor (9-3)... won three of his first-four SoCon bouts, including a thrilling 8-6 overtime victory over David Metzler from VMI... placed third at the Mat Jam/SoCon Championships after posting a 3-1 record and decision wins over VMI’s John Held (6-5), Davidson’s Carl Sandercock (3-1 OT) and The Citadel’s Derek Royster.
2006-07: Finished with a 2-17 overall record and a 1-4 SoCon record at 149 lbs. ... picked up first win of the season with a 6-4 decision over Drew DiPasquale of Virginia... recorded the 7-2 decision over Davidson’s Scott Matthews.
2005-06: Gained valuable experience in his freshman year at UNCG, competing at both 141 and 157 lbs. ... went 3-6 in tournament matches and 3-8 overall... all three wins came at The Citadel Open against Terrell Hobbs and Andrew Cross of UNC Pembroke and Chas Franz of Gardner-Webb.
High School: Two-year letterwinner for coaches Richard Herman and Sean Boyce at T.W. Andrews High School... selected as team captain... was an all-conference selection at 119 pounds... earned all-conference accolades and was a regional honoree at 125 pounds... was an all-conference and all-state selection at 135 pounds... North Carolina state champion at 135 pounds... helped guide T.W. Andrews to a tournament state championship in 2003.
