SoCon Honor Roll
2016 (Freshman): Appeared in 115 of a possible 121 sets as a true freshman… Started seven matches, and appeared as the libero in the match with Charlotte (Oct. 19)… Earned 272 digs on the season, averaging 2.37 per set… Added double-digit digs in 10 matches… Earned 22 service aces on the season… Added 36 assists… Season-high five services aces against Charlotte (Oct. 19)… Had multiple service aces in six matches… Added multiple assists in ten matches, with a season-high five against Charlotte (Oct. 19)… Went for a season-best 22 digs in the season finale against Chattanooga (Nov. 20)… Earned 17 digs in a five-set match with Elon (Sept. 3)… Earned her first career kill against Youngstown State (Sept. 3)… Added 15 digs in a four-set victory over ETSU (Oct. 29).
High School: A four-time letterwinner under head coach Kris Haity, at West Chicago High School… She earned all-conference honors, along with being named to the academic all-conference team in her junior and senior seasons… She was named the team MVP, and was a member of the honor roll… During her time on the court, she recorded 38 aces, 430 career digs, and 437 serve receives… As a senior, she participated in the 2016 All Star Game… Katarzynki played club volleyball with Mizuno Sports Performance out of Aurora, Ill, under head coach Don Joe Lei… As the libero for Mizuno Sports Performance, she was a member of the 2015 National Championship team… Off the court, she was a member of the student council, interact club, National Honors Society, National Language Honor Society, and was a student ambassador for West Chicago High School.
Personal:She is majoring in business and is the daughter of Ron and Mary Lou Katarzynski.
