SPARTANBURG, S.C. – UNC Greensboro men's golf senior Jonathan Brightwell has been named Southern Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, the league office announced. This is the third time Brightwell has earned to weekly honor.  

Brightwell opened up his senior campaign carding an eight-under 208 to tie for fourth place at the Badger Invitational. It was the fifth time in his collegiate career that the Charlotte native has finished in the top five. He entered the final round tied for the lead before finishing in fourth place. 

Brightwell helped the Spartans tie for eighth in the 16-team, 96-man field, which included eight teams that finished in the top 100 of last spring's Golfstat rankings according to a press release provided by the SoCon.
