CINCINNATI, OHIO – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team concluded the Bearcat Invitational with the third and final round on Tuesday, finishing in 11
th place at Coldstream Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio.
TEAM
- UNCG finished in 11th place after recording rounds of 286-283-294 for an overall score of 11-over-par (863).
- Host school Cincinnati earned first place at the tournament with an 18-under-par (834).
- Little Rock, Arkansas, Nebraska, Louisville, Memphis, Ohio State, Kansas, Kentucky and South Florida rounded out the top-10 spots on the 18-team leaderboard, respectively.
- The Spartans bested TCU, Maryland, Sam Houston, UCF, Iowa State, Augusta and The Southern Conference (SoCon) foe Furman in that respective order.
- UNCG finished sixth in the field with 176 pars.
- The Spartans finished tied for seventh with a 3.18 average on par three holes.
INDIVIDUAL
- Jake Lewis and B.J. Boyce finished in a tie for 26th place with a one-over-par (214).
- Kelvin Hernandez followed closely behind to finish in a tie for 33rd place with a two-over-par (215).
- Lewis, Boyce and Hernandez's best round score in the tournament was a one-under-par (70).
- Keenan Royalty finished in a tie for 87th place with a 15-over-par (228).
- Liam Percy rounded out the scorecard finishing in a tie for 89th place with a 17-over-par (230).
- Boyce carded a hole-in-one in the tournament coming on the 14th hole in the first round. He finished first with a 2.83 average on par three holes.
- Lewis finished in fifth on par four holes with a 3.97 average.
