2025-26 NCAA Division I Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars Announced
 
NORMAN, Okla. — B.J. Boyce, Dax Isbell, Kelvin Hernandez, and Jake Lewis of the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team have earned a spot on the 2025-26 NCAA Division I Cobalt Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-America Scholars list, the organization announced Monday.

To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.

From The Southern Conference (SoCon) 22 student-athletes were named to the GCAA All-America Scholars list including, UNCG (4), Furman (4), Samford (4), Mercer (3), Western Carolina (2), Chattanooga (2), Wofford (2) and ETSU (1).

• Carded a third-place finish at the Bryan National Collegiate with a nine-under-par (207)
• Finished third on the team with a 73.36 stroke average
• Recorded five total under-par events on the year
• Named to SoCon Academic All-Conference Team & SoCon Academic Honor Roll

 
Dax Isbell
Economics
Senior | Cumming, Ga.

• Named SoCon Golfer of the Week on April 1
• Competed in 10 total tournaments this season, including nine with team scores
• Carded his best finish at the Mountaineer Invitational (T8th)
• Recorded a season-best round score of 69 on two occasions
• Concluded the season second on the team with a 73.23 stroke average in 30 total rounds
• Named to SoCon Academic Honor Roll
• Named to 2026 CSC Academic All-District® Team 

Kelvin Hernandez
Accounting 
Junior | Caguas, Puerto Rico

• CSC Academic All-District® Team (2025 & 2026)
• Claimed first place at the 2026 SoCon Championships to compete at the NCAA Winston-Salem Regional
• Set a new course record of 65 in the final round of the SoCon Championships at Solina Country Club
• 2x SoCon Golfer of the Week (Feb. 11 & Feb. 25)
• Named to SoCon All-Conference Team
• Finished first on the team and ninth in the SoCon with a 71.97 stroke average
• Recorded four top-15 finishes on the season
• Was in the lineup for all 11 team tournaments this year
• Named to SoCon Academic All-Conference Team & SoCon Academic Honor Roll

Jake Lewis
Business Administration
Sophomore | Cary, N.C.

• Finished fourth on the team with a 73.55 stroke average in 33 total rounds
• Was in the lineup for all 11 team tournaments this year
• Recorded a season-best 67 in round one of the Quail Valley Invitational on Oct. 19
• Notched his best finish of the season at the Dorado Beach Collegiate on Feb. 24 (T13th)
• Named to SoCon Academic All-Conference Team & SoCon Academic Honor Roll
