Kristin Rusboldt has served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Spartan Academic Support Services at UNCG since fall 2016. Kristin has oversight of the Academic and Student-Athlete Development success of our 17 sports. She currently directly works with men's basketball and softball as their academic coach.
Under her guidance, the UNCG student-athletes have earned numerous record-setting GPA semesters and participate in a comprehensive holistic development program called The Spartan Shield.
Before arriving at UNCG, Rusboldt was an Academic Advisor and Student-Athlete Development Coordinator at the College of Charleston (Charleston, SC) where she worked with men's soccer, men's and women's swimming and diving, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's sailing programs.
Prior to the College of Charleston, Rusboldt served as the Life Skills Coordinator for the University of Memphis (Memphis, TN) where she created the student-athlete development program structure called PAWS (Preparing Athletes for Winning Success).
Rusboldt began her career as a graduate assistant in the Student-Athlete Academic Services at the College of Charleston. Rusboldt earned her master's degree from the College of Charleston in 2010. A former Division I collegiate swimmer, Rusboldt obtained her undergraduate degree from Western Kentucky University in 2007.
Rusboldt currently resides in Greensboro, N.C. and has two children, Sloan and Cooper. She is an active member of N4A: National Association for Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals and currently serves as the Region II Director for the organization. Rusboldt is also a member of Women Leaders in College Sports.
