GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNCG men's tennis team earned a 6-1 victory over the Davidson Wildcats on Saturday afternoon inside the Piedmont indoor tennis center.  The Spartans took two of three doubles matches to earn the point, with the third match not finishing.  UNCG handled the singles competition as well, taking five of six matches.

"Great team effort today." Director of Tennis, and men's head coach Jeff Trivette said, "We came out with great intensity and energy.  We did not play our best but we competed on every court."

In doubles play, the pair of William Albright and Warren Bryan defeated Evan Watkins and Alex Howard, 6-1.  Connor Thompson and Daniel Mack edged out J.B. Gough and Shamael Chaudhry, 6-4 to earn the two matches needed for the doubles victory.  The No. 3 doubles match of Gaston Murray and Ian Melnik did not finish.

UNCG took five of the six singles competitions, with Thompson, Mack, Murry, Bryan and James Flynn earning victories.  Albright suffered a three set loss to Gough.
