CONWAY, S.C. – The UNCG women's tennis team fell to the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers 6-1 on Saturday afternoon at the Coastal Carolina Tennis Complex. Sarah Swiderski earned the point for the Spartans, defeating Marie Babayan in three sets in No. 3 singles competition.
In the doubles competition, UNCG played tough, but fell in all three, 7-5, 6-4 and 6-3. UNCG had four singles matches that took all three sets to decide the winner. Soumeya Anane, Masey DeMoss, and Corinne Blythe each suffered defeats, with Swiderski taking her match. Amy Ellis also played a tough match, falling to Romane Delay, 7-5, and 7-6.
