GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNCG Men's Tennis team suffered a 5-2 loss to the Samford Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon. The Spartans and Bulldogs met at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center at 1:00 p.m. after a scheduling change due to the weather.
The Spartans were unable to pick up a win in the doubles portion of the competition, falling at No. 1 and No. 3. The No. 2 pairing of Connor Thompson (Atlanta, Ga./Holy Innocents) and Daniel Mack (Lakeland, Fla./Lakeland) went unfinished.
Thompson and Warren Bryan (Greensboro, N.C/Longwood) won their singles matches. Thompson took No. 1 by a 6-1, 6-2 tally. Bryan won No. 5 in three sets, 3-6, 6-2, and 1-0.
