GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG women's tennis dropped a 6-1 decision to the UNCW Seahawks Thursday afternoon at the UNCG Tennis Courts. Nancy Bridges (Shelby, N.C./Shelby) earned a three-set victory to earn UNCG's point.  The Spartans fall to 1-6 on the season.  UNCW improves to 4-1.

UNCG dropped the doubles portion of the competition.  Alice Taylor (Cambridge, Great Britain/UMBC) and Yasmin Franco (Largo, Fla./Indian Rocks) fell at No. 1, 7-5.  Masey DeMoss (Mayodan, N.C./McMichael) and Corinne Blythe (Leicestershire, Great Britain/Queenswood School) dropped No. 3, 7-5.

Bridges notched a three-set victory at No. 5 singles, coming from behind to defeat Laura Gomez, 5-7, 7-6, 12-10.
