BURLINGTON, N.C. – UNCG women's tennis fell to the Elon Phoenix 6-1 on Tuesday afternoon in Burlington.  UNCG managed one win in the contest, coming from Nancy Bridges (Shelby, N.C./Shelby).  Bridges improves to 5-4 on the season.  The Spartans are 1-10 on the season, Elon improves to 10-5. 

The Spartans fell at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.  The pair of Alice Taylor (Cambridge, Great Britain/UMBC) and Masey DeMoss (Mayodan, N.C./McMichael) did not finish the match at No.1. 

Bridges notched the victory at No.. 4 singles, defeating Maria Paraja, 6-0, 7-6 (7-4).  DeMoss suffered a hard fought three-set loss at No. 2 singles to Olivia Lucas ( 6=7 (1-7), 6-3, 1-0 (10-8).
