Series History

-- The Spartans are 28-34 against the Mountaineers all-time, and look to stop an 11-game losing skid against the side

-- This will be just the second time the two programs have met since App State left the Southern Conference at the end of the 2013-14 season

Five Facts To Know

-- UNCG kicked off its seven-game home stand with a win last Saturday, defeating visiting High Point by a final of 82-70. The Spartans' current stretch is their longest string of home contests since the 2013-14 campaign

-- Nadine Soliman's 259 total points ranks ninth in all of Division I this season, while her 7.3 defensive rebounds per game sit 19th. She is currently averaging just shy of a double-double with 19.9 points and 7.9 boards per contest

-- With 769 career rebounds, senior Te'ja Twitty sits third in Division I Spartan history and is just 36 boards shy of claiming the individual D1 program record

-- UNCG is the only team in the SoCon with three players in the top-eight of the conference's leading rebounders; Nadine Soliman (7.9), Aja Boyd (7.3) and Te'ja Twitty (6.8)

-- The Spartans have not lost at home since this year's season opener against Richmond, and are currently on a four-game winning streak when playing in Greensboro

The Mountaineers

-- App State opened the 2019-20 season on five straight losses, but have since gone 3-2. One of those two losses came on the road to No. 23 Michigan, while two of those wins have come against Southern Conference opponents

-- Junior guard Pre Stanley leads the Mountaineers on offense; her 14.8 points per game are tied for third in the Sun Belt

Coming Up Next

The Spartans continue their home stretch while hosting Lenoir-Rhyne on New Year's Day at Fleming. UNCG is 3-1 against the Bears all-time, last facing the program during the 1986-87 season.
