CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – UNC Greensboro women's basketball (8-14, 2-5 Southern Conference) fell 64-54 to Chattanooga (11-11, 6-1) Saturday afternoon at McKenzie Arena. After the Spartans opened the fourth quarter with a 10-4 run to cut its deficit to one (50-49) with four minutes left, the Mocs ran away with the victory by going on a 14-3 run.

UNCG didn't trail at all in the first half, but Chattanooga led for the last 19 minutes of the game after beginning the third quarter with a 10-2 run.

The Spartans opened the game with a 12-2 run, as Nadine Soliman had 10 of her team-high 17 points in the first quarter. The Mocs made it a one-point game in the second quarter, but Aja Boyd had six-straight points to ensure the halftime lead for UNCG.

The Spartans had four double-digit scorers: Soliman, Boyd (12 points), Te'ja Twitty (12) and Cece Crudup (10). Boyd led the way on the glass with eight rebounds while Twitty had seven, and the two Spartans also had a pair of steals each and combined for all three of UNCG's blocks.

UNCG returns home next week to face the two South Carolina SoCon schools, starting with Wofford on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in its annual Pink Game

- With 1,411 points, Soliman needs just seven more points to move into fourth place ahead Brianne Dodgen (1998-2002).

- Soliman's double-double streak came to end after recording the feat the last four games.

- Both teams had the same amount of made field goals (23), but Chattanooga went 9-22 (40.9%) from three, including 6-10 in the second half, while UNCG was just 3-14 (21.4%).

- UNCG had the edge in points off turnover (11-3) and points in the paint (39-26).
