HOW'S THEIR FORM?
-- UNCG will have a quick turnaround after falling to Elon on the road this past Friday, but are just a game removed from a 49-46 rivalry win over North Carolina A&T in the annual 'Battle of the 'Boro'
-- The Lady Vols enter Sunday's contest on a two-game win streak, most recently defeating No. 15 Indiana in Bloomington by a final of 66-58. They have just one loss on the year, an overtime defeat at the hands of West Virginia, and have beaten SoCon members ETSU and Furman earlier this season
SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
-- Starting senior guard
CeCe Crudup currently leads the Spartans with 10.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. She's scored in the double digits in each of her team's last two appearances
-- Fellow senior
Tori Powell registered three steals against Elon on Friday, giving the point guard a total of 13 on the year, second-most in the Southern Conference
-- Freshman
Khalis Cain has made a key contribution to her team's stat line since becoming a starter in the past three games. The forward has averaged 6.7 points and 7.7 rebounds since earning her first start against UNCW last week, and collected a career-high of 12 boards and three blocks against Elon on Friday
SCOUTING TENNESSEE
-- The Lady Vols are one of the top rebounding teams in the country this year. The side's 49.4 boards per game is 10th in the nation, while its +17.0 rebounding margin is fourth in all of Division I
-- Junior combo guard Rae Burrell leads all UT players with 20 points a game, eclipsing the 20-point mark against both ETSU and Furman earlier in the year
SERIES HISTORY
-- While the Spartans haven't faced the Volunteers in over four decades, they are a perfect 3-0 against the side, last beating Tennessee 81-79 in overtime at the Winthrop Tournament in Rock Hill, S.C. on February 13, 1976
-- Both sides were still playing in the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW) during their previous three meetings, and have only ever played each other in the annual Winthrop Tournament in South Carolina
