GREENSBORO, N.C. - The UNCG women's basketball team (19-7, 8-3) prepares for a quick turnaround, hosting the Furman Paladins on Saturday at 4 p.m. This will be the senior day game for the Spartans, as five seniors will be recognized before tip-off.

LAST TIME OUT
UNCG outlasted a gritty Wofford squad, 49-45, Thursday night in Fleming Gym. Aja Boyd led all players with 14 points for the Spartans. Te'ja Twitty added seven points and 10 rebounds, coming up just shy of back-to-back double-doubles. Nadine Soliman notched nine points and secured her 2000th career point, becoming the only player in program history to complete the milestone. Cece Crudup pitched in nine points, two steals and two assists in 26 minutes. Alexus Willey was effective off the bench, providing valuable minutes (26) and tallied six points, four rebounds and two assists. UNCG held Wofford's Da'Ja Green (11pts) to just a single point in the second half. 

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
-- The win over the Terriers marked the 11th time this season where UNCG allowed 49 points or less

-- Furman is coming off a 65-59 conference win at Western Carolina; three players scored double-digits, with Le'Jzae Davidson leading the way with 18 points and a career-best eight rebounds. Tierra Hodges shot 50 percent from the floor, racking up 16 points and eight rebouds 
-- At 7-5 in SoCon-play, the Paladins sit in fourth-place looking up at Chattanooga (3), Samford (2) and UNCG (1)
-- Hodges leads the way, averaging a double-double of 11.9 points and 10.1 rebounds per game; Davidson tops all Furman scorers with 14.3 points per game and a conference-high 79 three-pointers made on 244 attempts

SERIES HISTORY
-- The all-time series is knotted up, 25-25. Furman has won three of the last four matchups in a series that dates back to the 1996-97 season. 
-- The Spartans defeated the Paladins, 59-53, earlier this season in Greenville, S.C. (Jan. 20). In that game, Soliman led with 16 points. Willey added 12 points, shooting 4-for-4 from long distance 
-- UNCG's longest winning streak is six (2004-05 to 2007-08); Furman won seven straight matchups from 2013-14 to 2016-17. 
-- Last season, Furman swept the series, 2-0. The Paladins topped the Spartans, 61-64 in Greenville, S.C. (Jan. 10, 2019). They followed it up with a 49-59 victory in Greensboro (Feb. 9, 2019).
