GREENSBORO, N.C. -Â UNCG women's basketball (6-14, 4-7) hopes to make it four wins in a row this weekend, facing Chattanooga (12-8, 7-4) on the road a week removed from their sweep over Furman at home. The Spartans have climbed into fifth in the SoCon standings and with a sweep over the Mocs could potentially put themselves in place to move into fourth before the end of the conference season.
Two wins over UTC would put UNCG just a game behind the Mocs in the standings, with both sides playing one more regular season contest. The Spartans are set to complete their regular schedule on the road at Western Carolina next Thursday, while Chattanooga wraps up at ETSUÂ on the same day.
