GREENSBORO, N.C. - After opening the season with back-to-back road contests against UNC Asheville and Furman, UNCG men's tennis returns home this Friday to host Charlotte. The match against the 49ers is the first of three that the Spartans will play over the course of the next four days, with ETSU and Radford both coming to call this coming Sunday and Monday respectively.

HOW'S THEIR FORM?
-- The Spartans are looking for their first team win this Friday after opening the season with a pair of losses against UNC Asheville and Furman, hoping that their first home court advantage of the season will produce a victory
-- The 49ers are already nine matches into their spring season, most recently falling to No. 3 Tennessee on Wednesday. Charlotte holds a 5-4 record on the year, however three of those losses have come against teams ranked in the top-25

-- Alexander Zuckerman and Cooper Wyett both earned singles wins in the Spartans' 5-2 loss at UNCA, while Nico Grewe and Ollie Palmer combined for a 7-6 win over the Bulldogs' No. 1 doubles pairing
-- Nico Grewe went 8-2 in singles play last year, posting a 3-1 record when playing the third seed and a 5-1 record when playing the fourth

-- The 49ers already have two players with seven singles wins in 2021, with freshman Olle Wallin posting 2-1, 1-0 and 4-0 records in the first, second and third seed respectively
