Men's Tennis Reschedules No. 49 UNCW Match To Noon Saturday

GREENSBORO, N.C. - UNCG men's tennis hosts its third home non-conference match of the season this Saturday, with No. 49 UNCW coming to Greensboro for a 12 p.m. first serve. This weekend's competition was originally scheduled for Sunday, but like many contests in the region, inclement weather forced the Spartans to move the match up a day earlier.

Who: UNCW
Where: UNCG Tennis Courts | Greensboro, N.C.
When: Saturday, March 27 | 12 p.m.

HOW'S THEIR FORM?
-- UNCG returns home after three straight matches on the road. The Spartans are coming off a pair of losses to Mercer and Samford, but grabbed a 4-3 victory at Gardner-Webb to start that road trip
-- The Seahawks are on a five-match winning streak, holding a 7-2 record on the season. The team's only losses this spring have come against Wake Forest and Duke, who rank No.12 and No. 36 in the most recent ITA Rankings

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
-- Sophomore Alexander Zuckerman has a team-high four singles wins on the year, and is 3-2 when playing at the No. 5 this spring
-- UNCG swept doubles play against Mercer last Sunday. Freshman Christopher Johns has had three different doubles partners over his past four appearances, but has collected a 3-1 record during that span
-- Junior Roger Rogowski is an even 4-4 in doubles play this spring, and 3-3 when playing as a part of the No. 2 pairing

SCOUTING UNCW
-- Freshman Beka Rasamatov is a team best 7-1 in singles on the year, winning his last six individual matchups. His lone loss came to Duke's No. 6 at the start of the year. He also has a 5-1 record in doubles play
-- Bruno Caula and Michael Copeland are both 6-3 in singles play this spring, with the former playing solely in the Seahawks' one seed. Caula's three losses have all come to players ranked within the ITA top-100

SERIES HISTORY
-- The Spartans and Seahawks have met just three times since the turn of the decade, with UNCW taking two of those three finals
-- All three of those matches took place in Wilmington, N.C. This will be the first time in at least 15 years the two teams will meet in Greensboro
