Women’s Basketball Set for In-State Matchup

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's basketball team will head west for an in-state matchup against Western Carolina on Saturday at 5 p.m. The game will be the second in a double-header for the Catamount's basketball programs.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
--The Spartans claimed their first Southern Conference win of the season last week with a 56-38 win over ETSU Bucs.
--Four Spartans are in triple-digits scoring. Isys Grady leads with 195. Khalis Cain follows with 127, Jaylynn Brown with 120, and Aja Boyd caps it off with 116.
--As a team, UNCG has allowed 56.5 points by their opponents. They continue to lead the conference in scoring defense.
--UNCG is second in the conference in field goal percentage defense (.385), rebounding offense (38.1), rebounding defense (33.2), blocked shots (2.9), offensive rebounds (13.9), and offensive rebounding percentage (.382).
--Cain and Grady are in the top 10 in the conference in rebounding. Cain sits in fourth with 7.9 per game and Grady sits in ninth with 6.6 per game.
--Grady is third in the SoCon in field goal percentage (.482).
--Nia Howard is fifth in the conference in 3-point percentage (.360).
