GREENSBORO, N.C.-  The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's basketball team returns home Wednesday to face Presbyterian in the Spartans' last matchup against a Big South Conference foe this season.

• The Spartans claimed a 75-52 win over Winthrop Sunday afternoon at Winthrop Coliseum.
• Kennedy Simpson scored a career-high 17 points while shooting 6-of-11 from the field including 5-of-7 shooting from three-point range.
• Faith Price came off the bench to post 15 points in 5-of-13 shooting, all from beyond three-point range.
• Akira Wiggins was the remaining Spartan in double-figure scoring with 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting. The graduate student also added five assists.

• The Spartans enter the contest 3-0 at home with wins over Guilford, Radford, and USC Upstate.
• Nasia Powell and Simpson each lead the Spartans in scoring with 11.3 points per game.
• Simpson has posted double-figure scoring efforts in five of six games.
• Powell also adds two steals per game on the defensive end.
• Faith Price averages 9.8 points per game off the bench and is shooting 39.5 percent from the field and from three-point range.
• Wiggins averages 9.3 points per game and leads the Spartans with 3.3 assists per contest.
• Amar shares the assists team lead with Wiggins while adding 6.0 points per game off the bench.
• Cain averages 8.5 points per game and leads the Spartans with 9.8 rebounds per contest. The center shoots 59.4 percent from the field.
• UNCG boasts 3.9 more assists per game than their opponents.
• On the defensive side, the Spartans post 3.7 more steals and 1.0 blocks per game than their opponents. UNCG averages 10.0 steals and 3.8 blocks per game.

 
SCOUTING PRESBYTERIAN

• The Blue Hose are 2-4 on the season with wins over Carolina University and Western Carolina.
• Presbyterian's schedule has also featured Minnesota from the Big Ten Conference and Furman.
• The Blue Hose dropped a Saturday afternoon contest to Morehead State, 59-54.
• Bryanna Brady led all scorers with 22 points as she was the only member of the Blue Hose in double-figure scoring. Brady also added seven rebounds.
• Mara Neira added nine points with six rebounds.
• Presbyterian shot 39.6 percent for the contest, shooting 50 percent in the third quarter but 16.7 percent in the final period.
• Neira leads the Blue Hose in scoring with 13.3 points per game and shoots 40.2 percent from the field.
• Brady averages 12.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game while shooting 54.2 percent from the field.
• Presbyterian finished 2021-22 with a 12-18 overall record, 6-12 in Big South Conference play.
• The Blue Hose are picked to finish seventh in the Big South this season.

• After a break for final exams, UNCG starts a three-game road trip at South Carolina State Monday, December 12 at 5:30 p.m.
