Releford Matches Career-High in Loss to Bears

MACON, Ga.. -  Jordan Releford matched her career-high of 12 points during the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's basketball 75-43 loss to the Mercer Bears on Saturday afternoon.
 
Releford set a career-high of 12 points on Monday when the Spartans went head-to-head against the Furman Paladins.

  
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Spartans opened the game with a 5-4 run to quickly take the lead.
  • Excellanxt Greer knocked down a three-pointer to give UNCG a one-point advantage.
  • Both teams would be scoreless for 3:43.
  • Khalis Cain hit back-to-back layups to grow the lead to five.
  • The Blue and Gold held the lead until the 7:22 mark in the second quarter.
  • Jordan Releford scored the Spartan's last three points of the half with a three-pointer.
  • Nitzan Amar and CeCe Crudup scored a combined three points from the charity stripe to open the second half.
  • The Spartans were held to eight points in the third quarter.
  • Releford scored the first basket of the final 10 minutes to match her career-high set earlier this week.
