GREENVILLE, N.C. – Erika Barquero was a winner at No. 1 singles to lead the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team during a 6-1 setback to East Carolina Sunday afternoon.
Barquero has won at least one match in each of UNCG's first three contests this season. She is making a solid return to the court after missing all of the 2021 season. Barquero has won two consecutive singles matches to go along with her two doubles' triumphs against North Carolina Central and Davidson.
Barquero conquered her opponent in straight sets with a 6-2, 7-5 decision.
UNCG returns to action when it hosts Georgia State on Friday, Feb. 18 at 1 p.m.
