ELON, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis continued its fall season with the three-day Elon Fall Invitational.
The Spartans saw three win in singles play.
John Gabelic and
David Flisberg moved on to the winner's bracket after a 6-1 win in the opening round of the Phoenix doubles and then a 6-4 victory. They will play on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in the final round against a pair from Norfolk State.
Wyatt Cannon and
Jay Montague also won both doubles matches today, winning 7-5 against a team from Central and then 6-0 to a pair from Longwood. They will play a team from Queens on Sunday at 9:45 in the final round.
Devon Moskowitz and
Christopher Johns won the first round of play in the Powell doubles with a score of 6-4 to a JMU pair, before falling to a duo from Hampton, 7-5.
Flisberg, Gwynn, and Cannon each had a singles win.
Tomorrow's matches are scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.
