SANTIAGO, CHILE – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf freshman
Kelvin Hernandez finished tied for 14
th at the Pan American Games after competing in one round each day from Thursday, Nov. 2 to Sunday, Nov. 5.
Hernandez captured a six-under-par (282) finish in the four-round competition with scores of 74, 71, 68, 69.
The freshman's 14
th place finish comes out of 30 individuals competing in the event.
He had his best game on Saturday with a four-under-par (68) and shot under-par in three out of the four rounds. His 68 round was just one stroke shy of his collegiate best, which came at the Quail Valley Invitational earlier this season with a five-under-par (67) in the second round.

The UNCG men's golf team will return to action in the spring of 2024 by hosting Palmas del Mar Collegiate in Humacao, Puerto Rico at the Palmas del Mar Golf Club from Sunday, Feb. 11 to Tuesday, Feb. 13.
