GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team will face two Southern Conference (SoCon) teams this weekend to conclude regular season play. The Spartans will host Samford on Friday and Mercer on Sunday.
UNCG will then travel to Chattanooga, Tennessee to compete in the SoCon Championship from April 20-22.

About the Spartans
- The Spartans are 5-14 overall this semester and 0-5 in SoCon play.
- UNCG is 2-2 over the last four matches, defeating East Carolina 4-3 and most recently NC A&T 5-2, both at home.
- The Spartans won all three doubles matches against the Aggies. This was the first time since February 9, 2022 defeating NC Central 4-3 that all three doubles matches were won by UNCG.

Scouting the Bulldogs

- Prior to that loss, Samford was 6-1 in the last seven matches.
- Alexis Lopez is leading Samford in singles with a 10-7 record playing the number one spot.
- Cameron Rogin is 4-0 in singles in the number six spot and 8-6 overall.
- Lauren Waddles and Lopez are 6-3 in doubles action playing in the number two spot.
- Olivia Jablonski and Rogin are also 6-3 in doubles playing in the number three spot.
Scouting the Bears
- Mercer is 11-9 overall and 3-3 in the SoCon.
- The Bears are coming off a 4-3 loss to Furman on April 12th.
- Mercer is 5-3 in the last eight matches.
- Mary Courville is leading the Bears, 14-6 going 14-5 in the number two spot.
- Teodora Ristic is 12-8 for Mercer going 11-8 in the number one spot.
- Ristic and Courville are 13-7 in doubles team playing 12-7 in the number one spot.
