Box Score GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team dropped a Southern Conference (SoCon) match to Samford on Friday afternoon at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center.
Samford started off strong with the first win in doubles winning, 6-0. UNCG countered with
Juliana Craft and
Hanna Giddings taking the next match winning 7-6 and 7-4 in a tiebreaker. The Bulldogs ended up taking the doubles point after winning the last match 7-5.
Samford continued its stride winning the first three singles matches. Before the Spartans fought when
Raegan Mitchell went 6-1, 1-6, 3-6 on court five, with Samford's Cameron Rogin coming out on top.
Olivia Gallagher also went into three sets as well going 6-4, 5-7, and 0-1 (7-10) with Samford winning after the fight. Samford's Olivia Jablonski sealed the win on court six with a score of 6-3 and 6-4.
