ELON, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team opened its season Friday and Sunday at the Elon Invitational after Saturday's matches were postponed to Sunday due to inclement weather.
"Both freshmen got their first college wins," said Head Coach
Paul Thomson. "We had two other courts that went three sets that were within reach. We're not searching for silver linings. We're gaining knowledge and much needed experience. We did that and are better for it."
The Spartans had three doubles wins and two singles victories to begin the 2023-24 season.
Freshmen

Lauren Thomson stood out for the two singles win victories at the Invitational for each of their first collegiate wins.
