UNC Asheville and UNCG met last season at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center. The Bulldogs came away with a 5-2 win over the Spartans in Greensboro.

- UNC Asheville concluded the 2022-2023 season going 16-2 overall and 6-0 in the Big South.
- The Bulldogs finished as the Big South runner-up as the team defeated Campbell, 4-0 in the semifinals, but dropped a 4-3 contest to Charleston Southern in the final round.
- UNC Asheville was picked to finish second in the 2023-24 Big South Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll with 29 first-place votes.
- The Bullodgs return nine players from last season's regular season championship team, including 2023 Big South Conference Freshman of the Year Elizabeth Tindera. Asheville also returns 2023 All-Conference Singles selections Linge Steenkamp, Rosie Dickson and Avery Sager, along with All-Conference Doubles teams Tindera and Valeria Canteno and Steenkamp and Ari Siegel.
