GREENSBORO, N.C. - The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team is set to take a trip out west to face Wyoming on Friday, Feb. 2 at 2 p.m. EST/Noon MT and Colorado on Saturday, Feb. 3 at Noon EST/10 a.m. MT at the Tennis Complex.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
- The Spartans head into the week with an 0-2 overall record on the spring slate.
- UNCG most recently opened up its home schedule with a 7-0 loss against Campbell at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center.
- Despite Campbell taking the doubles point on courts one and two, Sydney Bly and Alexandra Dodashev gained the Spartan's sole win of the day after defeating Tasmin Hart and Veronoka Prospalova on court three, 7-5.
- Luna Urso competed in an exciting singles play competition that required a third set. Urso earned the first set, 6-4, but Marianna Ossa was able to rally back, 6-0, 6-2 for the win.
- Lauren Thomson gained her first collegiate duals win with set scores 6-2, 6-2 over UNC Ashville to begin the season.
SCOUTING THE COWGIRLS
- Wyoming will come into Friday's match 2-3 on the 2024 season.
- The Cowgirls most recently took a 5-2 win over Buffalo on Wednesday, Jan. 24.
- Wyoming clinched the match at 4-0, but the two teams played out the rest of the contest.
- The Cowgirls won a thrilling doubles point against Buffalo by clinching with a tiebreaking victory. Noesika Brink and Nikol Dobrilova pulled out the victory for Wyoming, 7-6, 7-3.
- Violette Borodina and Sophie Zehender also picked up a doubles point in the match for the duo to move to 4-0 this spring.
SCOUTING THE BUFFALOES
- Colorado will head to Wyoming with a 2-1 overall record on the season.
- The Buffaloes recently earned a 4-1 victory over UNLV on Saturday, Jan. 27. This was the first ITA Kickoff win in program history for Colorado.
- With the win, Aya El Sayed increased her overall match win streak to 11 matches.
- Colorado has won all seven completed double matches this season.
- The Buffaloes dominated in their season opener with a defining 7-0 win over UC Riverside.
- The team's only loss this season came at Stanford, 4-1.
- Colorado will take on Wyoming on Sunday, Feb. 4 following its matchup to the Spartans.
