Men's Tennis Continues Non-Conference Schedule at Coastal Carolina

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis team will continue the 2024 season with a trip to Conway, S.C., to take on Coastal Carolina on Friday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. and will follow that with a neutral site contest to Charleston on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 1 p.m.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
  • UNCG heads to South Carolina with a 1-1 overall start on the 2024 season.
  • The Spartans most recently dropped a road contest to No. 13 Wake Forest, 4-0.
  • UNCG began the season with a dominating 7-0 win over Belmont Abbey at the UNCG Tennis Courts.
  • Andrew Black, John Gabelic and Devon Moskowitz are off to a 1-0 start in singles play.
  • David Flisberg, Tymofiy Khrystyuk, and Luke Thomson all are 1-1 in singles matches so far this season.
SCOUTING THE CHANTICLEERS
  • Coastal Carolina comes into Friday's matchup with a 1-4 overall record.
  • The Chanticleers most recently took a 4-3 loss to Queens on Friday, Feb. 9.
  • Jesus Garcia, Maj Tomac, Guilherme Toresan and Lucas Wayenburg lead the Chanticleers with two singles wins apiece.
  • Carlos Berna Ruiz and Lucas Wayenburg stand out in doubles action this season with three wins.
  • Coastal Carolina will take on Charleston on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 1 p.m. following its match up to the Spartans.
SCOUTING THE COUGARS
  • Charleston comes into the week with a 4-1 overall record this season.
  • The Cougars are currently on a four-game winning streak.
  • Charleston most recently claimed a 5-2 win over Longwood in Farmville, Va.
  • Jordyn Larke leads the Cougars this season with a perfect 4-0 record across singles play.
  • Matias Gaedechens and Eddie Vo follow closely behind with a 3-1 record.
  • Jordyn Larke and Zac Lark stand at a 3-0 record in doubles action, while Vo and Mattia Bernandi stand out with a 3-1 record on the 2024 stanza.

Following this week's matches, the Spartans will stay on the road to face Radford on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 2 p.m. at the Radford Tennis Complex.
