LYNCHBURG, VA. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's track team sent a small group to the Liberty Open on Saturday at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex.
Four posted personal best times during the meet.
Juniors
Bella Manfre and
Emma Berrier saw career best times in the mile. Manfre led the way for the Spartans with a 27
th-place finish out of 84 competitors, clocking in a time of 5:29.56, cutting three seconds off her previous time. Berrier placed 44
th with her time of 5:41.68. This bested her previous personal best time by 13 seconds.
Junior
Madison McMasters ran a personal best time of 1:10.43, finishing 59
th in the 400-meter run.
Sophomore
Chelsea Valdivia-Rizo rounded out the Spartans who ran personal best times. She finished 58
th out of 82 competitors in the 200-meter run, clocking in a time of 28.66-seconds.
Up Next
The Spartans are scheduled to compete at the JDL College Team Challenge on Thursday, February 8 at the JDL Fast Track. They will also travel to Lynchburg, Va. to compete in the two-day Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational from February 9-10.
