PINEHURST, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team stands in ninth place after two rounds of play at the Wake Forest Invitational at Pinehurst #2 on Monday.
TEAM
- UNCG carded a 24-over-par (584) in the first two rounds of action after shooting a 12-over-par (292) in both rounds.
- The Spartans are currently pacing NC State, SMU and Iowa.
- The Southern Conference (SoCon) foe, ETSU sits in first place with an eight-over-par (568).
- The Spartans are leading all teams with a 3.10 average on par three's.
INDIVIDUAL
- Symon Balbin stands atop the leaderboard for UNCG in a tie for eighth place after shooting a two-over-par (142) in rounds one and two.
- Balbin is in a tie to lead all individuals with eight birdies.
- Jack Marcotte follows behind Balbin in a tie for 22nd after carding a five-over-par (145). Marcotte earned a one-under-par (69) in the first round of action.
- Tommy Lamb sits in a tie for 32nd with a seven-over-par (147). Lamb posted his best score of the day with an even par (70) in the second round.
- Noah Connor follows Lamb in a tie for 53rd after recording a 12-over-par (152) on the day.
- Randall Hudson rounds out the scorecard for the Spartans with a 14-over-par (154) in the first two rounds.
