BIRMINGHAM, ALA. - The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team dropped its 2023-24 regular season finale at Samford, 7-0 on Saturday at the Samford Tennis Center.
 
Samford got the first point of the day after claiming all three doubles matches for the 1-0 lead heading into singles action.
 
The Bulldogs continued its momentum into singles play by claiming all six singles contests for the 7-0 victory. However, UNCG continued to put up a fight with four of the six singles matches going to three sets. Arina Babkova put up a battle ultimately going the way for Alexis Lopez on court one, 6-2, 1-6, 6-2.  Juliana Craft added another three-set fight on court four with Noelle Mauro claiming the match, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2. Lauren Thomson and Sydney Bly added two more three-set matches, but Samford was able to pull away with each win.
