MILL SPRING, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's cross country team finished eighth overall at The 2025 Southern Conference (SoCon) Championships Saturday at Tryon Equestrian Center.
Furman claimed its 13
th-straight SoCon Championship, totaling 23 points, while Mercer finished second with 68 points. Chattanooga placed third with 82 points.
Freshman
Camryn Oates, in her first SoCon Championship, placed 30
th out of 77 competitors in the five-kilometer race with a time of 18:58.8. She was the only Spartan to finish sub-19 minutes.
Junior
Tenley Douglass was the next Blue & Gold to cross the finish line, taking home 43
rd place with a time of 19:23.0. Graduate student
Sierra Collins, in her first SoCon Championship, clocked in a time of 19:28.2, good for 47
th place.
Graduate student
Emma Berrier bested her 66
th-place mark from the 2024 Championship. Berrier clocked in a time of 19:42.4, taking home 50
th overall.
Sophomore
Lillian Douglass and freshman
Erica Rash rounded out the Spartans performances. Lillian posted a mark of 19:58.5, good for 57
th, while Rash placed 59
th with a time of 20:00.5.

The NCAA Division I Southeast Regional Championships will follow on Friday, Nov. 14 in Charlottesville, Virginia, at Panorama Farms. The women's six-kilometer race will begin at 10:00 a.m. and the men's 10-kilometer race will follow at 11:00 a.m.
