GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's basketball team will begin a seven-game homestand by hosting Bob Jones on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Bodford Arena.
This will be the first-ever meeting between the Spartans and Bruins in program history.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE SPARTANS
- UNCG dropped a 67-61 contest at Coastal Carolina on Wednesday at the HTC Center in Conway, South Carolina.
- Jeni Levine led UNCG with 18 points, while Leyla Minor added 10 points to round out the Spartans in double-figures.
- Tasia Johnson and Jaila Lee chipped in eight points apiece.
- Lee and Rylan Moffitt collected six boards each.
- Minor added a new career-best three blocks.
- UNCG paced Coastal Carolina in points off turnovers (15-6), points in the paint (30-22), fast break points (12-9), blocks (6-2) and assists (11-8).
ABOUT THE SPARTANS
- The Spartans are leading The Southern Conference (SoCon) in scoring defense (59.2) and turnover margin (3.00).
- UNCG is second in the league in assist/turnover ratio (0.76), three-point attempts per game (25.1) and turnovers forced per game (18.30).
- Levine (14.8) and Makiah Asidanya (11.8) continue to lead the Blue & Gold in double-figures this season.
- Levine leads the squad from the field with a 36.1 percentage and Asidanya stands out from behind the arc at 32.1 percent.
- Levine and Moffitt are pacing the team in steals, averaging 1.4 a game.
- Johnson is the best facilitator on the team with a 2.9 average on assists per game.
- Moffitt stands out in the post with 7.0 boards per game and 1.1 blocks per game.
- The Spartans are currently on a 20-game winning streak at home and are 31-1 at home over the past two seasons.
- Asidanya's career-best 22 points at Auburn this season led her to be named SoCon Player of the Week in the first round of weekly awards on Nov. 11.
- UNCG was voted to finish second with two first-place votes in the SoCon Preseason Coaches' Poll.
- Lee and Asidanya were selected to the SoCon Preseason All-Conference Team after both of their stellar performances last season.
- The reigning SoCon Coach of the Year, Head Coach Trina Patterson is in her 10th year with the Blue & Gold this season.
- The 2025-26 roster features five returners and eight newcomers. Four of the newcomers are freshmen, while the other four are transfer students.
- UNCG comes into the 2025-26 season after a historic 2024-25 campaign.
- The Spartans earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament last season for the first time since 1998. The team defeated Chattanooga, 64-57, in The 2025 SoCon Championship, earning an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
- The team fell to No. 1 USC in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California.
SCOUTING THE BRUINS
- Bob Jones comes to Greensboro with a 4-5 overall record and 1-0 mark in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).
- Saturday's contest will be an exhibition match for the Bruins as they compete in the NCAA Division II.
- Bob Jones concluded the 2024-25 season 9-17 overall and 3-5 in the NCCAA.
- Keely Price is leading the team in double-figures, averaging 13.1 points per game.
- She also leads the squad off the glass with a 9.4 boards per game average, while collecting nine total blocks and 11 steals this season.
- Layne Anna Wylder paces the team with 2.0 three-pointers per game.
- Caitlyn Dickerson leads the Bruins with 3.0 assists per game.
- Head Coach Mike Leviere has been a part of the Bruins coaching staff since 2012.
- Bob Jones will also take on SoCon foe Furman on Saturday, Jan. 3 in Greenville, South Carolina.

FLEMING GYMNASIUM RENAMED BODFORD ARENA
- On Saturday, Nov. 8, Fleming Gymnasium, home to UNCG volleyball, women's basketball and men's basketball was renamed to Bodford Arena.
- This historic moment for the department was made possible through a transformational $2 million gift from the Bodford family.
- This generous support represents the largest unrestricted gift in the history of UNCG Athletics, as well as the first associated with naming a competitive athletic facility.
- The University is already familiar with the Bodford name - the Bodford Family Speed, Strength & Conditioning Center was dedicated in October 2020.
