GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's basketball team will travel to Conway, South Carolina, to take on the Chanticleers of Coastal Carolina on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in the HTC Center.
The Spartans are 14-10 in the overall meetings with the Chanticleers. Coastal Carolina secured the most recent matchup coming last season on Nov. 13, 2024, 69-62. UNCG last defeated Coastal Carolina on Nov. 29, 2023, 65-59, in Greensboro.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE SPARTANS
- UNCG most recently cruised to a 70-39 victory over USC Upstate on Saturday in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
- Four Spartans reached double-figures in the contest. Rylan Moffitt led the charge with 14 points, while Makiah Asidanya followed closely behind with 12 points. Jeni Levine and Jaila Lee chipped in 11 points apiece.
- Moffitt was two boards shy of a double-double with eight rebounds and her 14 points. She also added two blocks.
- The Blue & Gold led the way in rebounds (40-32), assists (18-9), steals (11-5) and points off turnovers (14-7).
- USC Upstate got on the board first with two points, but that would be its only lead in the contest as UNCG would respond with a 14-3 run in the first quarter.

- UNCG sits atop The Southern Conference (SoCon) standings with a 5-4 non-conference record.
- The Spartans are pacing the SoCon with a 58.3 scoring defense and a 3.00 turnover margin.
- The squad is second in the league in assist/turnover ratio (0.77), scoring margin (-0.8), three-point attempts per game (24.1), three-pointers per game (7.0) and turnovers forced per game (18.22).
- Tasia Johnson paces the SoCon and is 39th nationally with a 2.55 assist/turnover ratio. She is the best passer on the team, averaging 3.1 dimes per game.
- Asidanya is leading the conference with a 37.5 three-point percentage and is second with a 2.00 three-pointers per game average.
- Levine is second in the SoCon with a 14.4 points per game average.
- Levine (14.4) and Asidanya (12.4) continue to pace the Spartans in double-figure scoring this season.
- Moffitt paces the team in the post, averaging 7.1 boards per game and one block per game.
- Levine leads the squad with a 1.4 steals per game average.
- Asidanya's career-best 22 points at Auburn this season led her to be named SoCon Player of the Week in the first round of weekly awards on Nov. 11.
- UNCG was voted to finish second with two first-place votes in the SoCon Preseason Coaches' Poll.

SCOUTING THE CHANTICLEERS
- Coastal Carolina comes into Wednesday's matchup with a 5-5 overall record.
- The Chanticleers most recently took a 68-51 loss to Jacksonville on Saturday in Florida.
- The squad is currently 4-1 at home this season after dropping their home opener to Miami (OH), 63-53, but claiming the last four home games.
- UNCG will be the only SoCon opponent that Coastal Carolina will face in its non-conference slate.
- The Chanticleers were voted to finish sixth in the 2025 Sun Belt Preseason Coaches' Poll out of the 14-team league.
- Kristin Williams was named to the Preseason All-Sun Belt Second Team.
- The Chanticleers are currently second in the Sun Belt in five categories: assists per game (15.0), bench points per game (28.0), three-point attempts per game (27.5), three-point percentage defense (25.3) and three-pointers per game (9.7).
- Tessa Grady stands out from behind the arc, leading the Sun Belt in three-point attempts (92), three-pointers (33) and three-pointers per game (3.30).
- Four Chanticleers are leading the team in double-figures: Grady (14.2), Williams (12.2), Tracey Hueston (11.7) and Kinsea Grimes (10.4).
- Tateyoina Harris leads the team with a 6.3 rebounds per game average.
- Williams paces the squad in steals (2.1) and assists (3.4).
- Head Coach Kevin Pederson is in his fourth season with the Chanticleers and has led the team to a 54-51 record during his time.

FLEMING GYMNASIUM RENAMED BODFORD ARENA
- On Saturday, Nov. 8, Fleming Gymnasium, home to UNCG volleyball, women's basketball and men's basketball was renamed to Bodford Arena.
- This historic moment for the department was made possible through a transformational $2 million gift from the Bodford family.
- This generous support represents the largest unrestricted gift in the history of UNCG Athletics, as well as the first associated with naming a competitive athletic facility.
- The University is already familiar with the Bodford name - the Bodford Family Speed, Strength & Conditioning Center was dedicated in October 2020.
