SEA ISLAND, Ga. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team is currently tied for fifth place after day one of the Johnnie-O at Sea Island on Monday at Seaside Golf Course.
Due to inclement weather, the team was only able to get through 9-12 holes in the first round on Monday. The tournament will be shortened to 36 holes.
TEAM
- UNCG is tied for fifth place with Cincinnati on the 13-team leaderboard.
- The Spartans carded a seven-over-par (180) through holes 9-12.
- UNCG is leading all teams with a 2.91 average in par threes.
- Marquette is in first place with a one-under-par (173) for the only team with an under-par score.
INDIVIDUAL
- Jack Marcotte and B.J. Boyce are leading the Spartans with a one-over-par (48) to stand tied for 13th place.
- Jake Lewis follows in behind with a two-over-par (37) to be tied for 26th place.
- Kelvin Hernandez, Colin Dutton and Liam Percy round out the scorecard for the Spartans and are tied for 40th with a three-over-par (51).
- Percy and Marcotte are in a tie for the best par three average score with a 2.67.

UP NEXT
The Spartans will conclude the Johnnie-O at Sea Island with completing the first round and a second round on Tuesday at Seaside Golf Course. Competitors will complete round one tomorrow morning at 8:00 am and then conclude the Johnnie-O at Sea Island with a second round immediately after.
