GREENSBORO, N.C. - The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team will enter The 2025 Southern Conference (SoCon) Tournament as the No. 8 seed, taking on No. 1 Furman in the SoCon Quarterfinals on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS

• UNCG concluded the 2025 regular season 3-17 overall and 0-7 in the SoCon.

• The 41st-ranked Paladins, who claimed their 27th regular season championship, enter the tournament with an 18-3 overall record and went a perfect 7-0 in league play.
• Furman concluded the regular season with a five-match win streak, all coming in conference action. 
• Elle Schulson paces the team with a 15-5 overall record in singles.
• Sara Snyder and Macy Hitchcock follow closely behind with 14 singles wins each.
• Jess Dawson and Hitchcock boast the best doubles record for the Paladins with a 16-3 mark.
• Grace Thomas and Alexa Griffith concluded the regular season with a perfect 5-0 conference record in doubles.
• Sara Snyder has been named SoCon Player of the week on four occasions this season, while Dawson picked up the recognition once.
• Furman concluded the 2024 season with a 6-1 conference record and advanced to the finals of the league championships for the seventh-consecutive time, but fell to ETSU, 4-1.

SERIES HISTORY VS. FURMAN
Furman defeated UNCG, 7-0 earlier this season on February 27 in Greenville, South Carolina. The Paladins and Spartans last met in the quarterfinals of the SoCon Tournament in 2023, which Furman won 4-0.
