GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team is tied for first place after two rounds of the UNCG Collegiate, hosted by the Spartans at Forest Oaks Country Club on Monday in Greensboro.
 
UNCG is tied with Augusta for first place, both teams with a nine-over-par (585).
 
TEAM

• The Spartans finished with the best score of the first round, firing an eight-over-par (296), before carding a one-over-par (289) in the second round.
• UNCG is tied with Augusta, who had rounds of 300-285; the latter was the best score of the second round.
• The two teams totaled a nine-over-par (585) scorecard.
• The Blue & Gold paced the field with a 4.11 average in par fours and was tied for second with 25 birdies.

 
INDIVIDUAL

• Three of the five Spartans finished in the top 20 after two rounds.
• Following her one-over-par (73) first-round score, Baker Hudson moved up five spots with her six-under-par (66) totaling a five-under-par (139) at the tournament.   
• Hudson is leading the tournament with a 3.90 par four average and nine birdies.
• McIlvaine shot a three-over-par (75) in round one before improving seven spots with her one-under par (71). Her two-over-par (146) is good for sixth place out of 48 competitors.
• Elle Burnette is tied for 17^th with a six-over-par (150) after two rounds of 75.
• Wilma Siwers is in 34^th place after firing rounds of 73-82 totaling an 11-over-par (155).
• Eva Brown rounded out the Spartans, sitting in 43^rd place with a 16-over-par (160) and rounds of 83-77.

The Spartans will wrap up the UNCG Collegiate with the third round tomorrow, starting at 9:00 a.m. UNCG will be paired with Augusta and Winthrop beginning at holes one through five.
