Women’s Tennis Set for Matchup at No. 21 Clemson Sunday

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team will travel to take on No. 21 Clemson on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at the Duckworth Family Tennis Facility.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
  • UNCG heads into Sunday's contest 0-6 overall on the 2026 season.
  • The Spartans most recently fell to the Richmond Spiders on Wednesday, 6-1, in their 2026 home opener at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center.

  • The Spartans took on three-straight ACC opponents, falling in their spring opening doubleheader at No. 14 Virginia (7-0, 4-0) on Thursday, Jan. 15. UNCG dropped a match at No. 11 N.C. State on Sunday, Jan. 18, 7-0 and fell at Wake Forest, 7-0, on Friday, Jan. 30.
  • UNCG competed in four tournaments in the 2025 fall slate.
  • UNCG concluded the 2025 regular season 3-18 overall and 0-7 in The Southern Conference (SoCon).
  • Lauren Thomson finished on top for the Spartans in singles for the second consecutive year after tallying eight wins on the 2025 campaign. 
  • Sydney Bly led the team last season with nine total doubles wins.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
  • Clemson currently stands at 6-2 overall on the 2026 season.
  • The Tigers started off the spring slate with four-straight wins.
  • The squad most recently fell at South Carolina on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 4-3.
  • The Tigers' only other loss this season came against the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday, Jan. 24, 4-3.
  • Ria Bhakta and Artemis Aslanisvili are leading the Tigers with 11 singles wins apiece this season.
  • Romana Cisovska is pacing the team with a 15-7 overall doubles record.
  • The Tigers wrapped up the 2025 season 14-12 overall.
  • Clemson concluded the 2025 slate with a 4-3 loss to Wisconsin in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.
  • Clemson will host a doubleheader on Saturday with Memphis and the College of Charleston before welcoming UNCG on Sunday.
