Box Score CHATTANOOGA, TENN.- The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis team fell in The Southern Conference (SoCon) regular season finale against Chattanooga, 6-1, at UTC Tennis Complex on Saturday afternoon.
The Spartans secured the first point of the day after collecting two-of-three doubles matches.
Eric Lindemann and
Tymofiy Khrystyuk started the day off with a 6-4 win over Jaxon Lamb and Carter Ramthun on court three. The Mocs battled back as Julian Franzmann and Kristof Kincses defeated
William Elmers and
Hector Nissen, 7-5, on court two. However, the Spartans secured the doubles point with
John Gabelic and
Devon Moskowitz besting Cortland Grove and Jakub Jupa, 6-4, on court one.
The Mocs swept all six singles matches, with Jupa defeating Khrystyuk, 6-0, 6-2, on court one to earn the first point. Singles No. 2 saw Gabelic fall to Franzmann, 2-6, 1-6, for a Chattanooga 2-1 lead. TJ Ryerson extended the advantage with a 6-4, 6-3, win over Lindemann on court six. The Mocs secured the match with Kincses's victory over Elmers, 6-4, 6-1, on court five. Grove bested Nissen on singles No. 4 with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 scoreline. The Mocs closed out the day with Martin Delnido getting past
Devon Moskowitz, 6-3, 2-6, 10-3, on court three to bring the final score to 6-1.
