8/28/2026 10:30:00 AM

GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro (UNCG) cross country and track Head Coach Kaleigh Roach announced today that Colin Keck '25 has been elevated to full-time assistant coach.

Keck joined the UNCG track staff as an assistant coach in 2026 after four years as a Spartan student-athlete competing in cross country and track.

"I'm excited to announce Colin as our new assistant coach!" stated Roach. "I have had the opportunity to coach Colin his entire career here at UNCG and to now have him join my staff is a full circle moment. Colin leads with a passion to teach, a strong work ethic and desire to understand every person behind the student-athlete. He understands our standard and cares about the growth and development of this program just as much as I do. We're ready to get the season started!"

Keck brings a strong background in coaching, operations and event management to UNCG Athletics. In 2025, he completed a facility management and gameday operations internship with UNCG Athletics, assisting with the planning, setup and execution of Division I athletic events. He also supported logistical coordination for training camps and youth programs and helped host Palmeiras FC during its stay in Greensboro for the FIFA Club World Cup.

During the summer of 2026, Keck assisted with team operations and hosting for the Team Norway men's national football team during its training stay at UNCG. He also helped organize a community training event that drew approximately 3,500 attendees.

Keck gained additional coaching experience as an assistant track coach at Atkins High School in spring 2025, where he helped plan practices, provided individualized feedback and performance analysis, and developed weekly training plans for varsity and junior varsity athletes. From 2021 to 2025, he also served as a camp counselor with the All-American Cross-Country Camp, mentoring athletes ages 10–18.

As a student-athlete, Keck competed on the UNCG men's varsity cross country team, earning Second Team All-Southern Conference (SoCon) honors during the 2025 cross country season. He also consistently scored points for the Spartans' indoor and outdoor track programs during SoCon Championships.

Keck earned his Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Parks Management from UNCG in 2025, with a concentration in community recreation and event planning and a minor in sports coaching.
