Dear Friends of UNCG Athletics,
I hope you and your family are enjoying a wonderful start to the 2026-27 school year. With our student-athletes back on campus and classes now in session, I want to take a moment to share several exciting updates from Spartan Athletics.
As always, thank you for the support you continue to show to our student-athletes, coaches and staff. Your passion and commitment play a vital role in our success, and we are grateful to have you as part of our Spartan family.
Fall Sports Schedules:
The fall season is officially underway, and our Spartan teams are ready to compete. Our men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, men's golf, women's golf, men's tennis, women's tennis and cross country programs are prepared for another competitive season representing the Blue & Gold.
I encourage you to review our fall schedules and make plans to join us at an upcoming event. Our student-athletes work incredibly hard to represent UNCG, and your support in the stands makes a tremendous impact.
Men's Soccer Top 25 in Three Polls:
One of the exciting storylines to begin the year is the continued national recognition of our men's soccer program. The Spartans entered the year ranked No. 14 in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll, a tremendous recognition of the hard work, talent and commitment within the program. They were also voted No. 11 in the TopDrawerSoccer Preseason Poll and No. 18 in the College Soccer News Preseason Poll.
This ranking is a reflection of the standard our student-athletes and coaches have established and we are excited to see them compete against another challenging schedule this fall. We look forward to seeing UNCG Soccer Stadium filled with Spartan fans throughout the season.
Bodford Arena Entry Update:
We are also excited about the continued enhancements to Bodford Arena. The upgraded entry area will improve the game day experience for everyone who comes through the doors.
Bodford Arena has quickly become a special home for UNCG basketball and volleyball thanks to the generosity of the Bodford family last year. This project is another step in our commitment to providing a welcoming and first-class environment.
Basketball Tickets:
Men's & women's basketball season ticket renewals are now open. All games are scheduled to be played in Bodford Arena in the upcoming year and encourage Spartan fans to secure their seats early.

Basketball Schedules:
Our men's and women's basketball schedules will provide plenty of opportunities to support the Spartans at home this season. We are looking forward to building an energetic home-court atmosphere and creating memorable moments throughout the year.
