Women’s Tennis Reveals 2026-27 Schedule

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team and Head Coach Mat Iandolo have announced the schedule for the 2026-27 season.
 
"I am very proud of our schedule," said Iandolo. "It has a great mix of matches. We have always wanted to take an advantage that we are in the heart of the ACC and SEC. The non-conference opponents will prepare us for the very important Southern Conference (SoCon) matches this season."
 
UNCG concluded the 2026 season 4-18 overall and 2-5 in The Southern Conference (SoCon). The last time UNCG collected two SoCon wins in a season was in the 2021 campaign. Among the returners for the Spartans includes, sophomore Sophia Cedeno who was tabbed to All-SoCon Singles Second Team and All-Freshman Team after her performance last season.

QUICK FACTS
  • The fall schedule will consist of four road tournaments.
  • The spring slate will feature 23 regular season matches: 10 home & 13 away.
  • The 2026 fall schedule will begin with the Spartans traveling to Charleston, South Carolina, for the College of Charleston tournament from Sept. 18-19.
  • The Spartans will then go to Chattanooga, Tennessee, for the SoCon Masters Qualifier from Oct. 2-4.
  • The Spartans will then take on the ITA Regionals from Oct. 15-19 in Columbia, South Carolina.
  • The fall will be concluded with the UNCW Tournament from Oct. 30-Nov. 1 in Wilmington, North Carolina.
  • UNCG will open its spring schedule at Tennessee on Jan. 13.
  • The Spartans will then travel to Clemson, South Carolina, for a doubleheader on Jan. 16, featuring a matchup against the Tigers, followed by a neutral site contest against Kansas State.
  • UNCG will face five opponents in the 2027 regular season that earned a spot in the 2026 NCAA Tournament, including Tennessee, Clemson, North Carolina, Charleston Southern and ETSU.
  • UNCG opens its home slate against UNC Asheville on Jan. 25 at 1:00 p.m.
  • The Blue & Gold will begin the SoCon schedule in Cullowhee, North Carolina, facing Western Carolina on March 7.
  • The team concludes the 2027 regular season with a conference matchup against Mercer on April 15 at 1:00 p.m. at the UNCG Tennis Courts.
  • The 2027 SoCon Tournament will be held from April 22-24 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
